Christopher Enters the MTC!!!

And so the Tale begins. This was almost their last kiss!

On Wednesday, July 28th Christopher entered the MTC.  It was quite a day and the night before.  He really became an official missionary the night before.  He was set apart at 8:00 P.M.  Here are a few pictures of the night before.

There was a very strong spirit present there.  The leaders of our stake and ward shared some advice as well as Dave, Isabel and I.  We went to eat at the Village Inn and some last minute shopping!  A special girl needed a special gift that she didn't know was coming her way.  It was fun to be a small part of the surprise.  Chris commented on the way home how he even felt different since being set apart!
The next pictures will be a quick summary of our adventure to the MTC.  We got ready, took a few pictures, met Grandma and Grandpa Finch for breakfast at the old pancake house in Salt Lake.  While there Chris received a special phone call from Isabella's Poppie.  We visited laughed and took more pictures and ate!  At 11:30, Chris said Mom it is 11:30 it is time to go....funny, in his whole life he has never been too concerned with time...I think the setting apart may have changed him just a little!  We drove to the MTC where we took a few more pictures.  Chris received an impromptu hug from an Elder on his way with his companions for a run!  The Elders were all yelling their welcomes to the new missionaries!  You couldn't help but smile!  We took some more pictures and then Chris said, "Let's do this!"  We walked down the side walk to another Elder with a "Host" tag on.  Chris hugged us all and Mom (me) tried to be strong.  A lady volunteer assured me that they would get him busy right away and we should hear from him in a day or two. (Ummm it has been a day or two.....no word yet!)
He walked away with a last hug for Isabel and a smile on his face!

GO GET EM TIGER! We love you and are so very proud of you!
